INTRODUCING CTM
INTRODUCING CTM — Yesterday, I was invited to give a lecture on the workings of an NGO , to about 45 students pursuing their Master’s degree in the International program at NIDA (National Institute of Development Administration).
I addressed an audience of all ethnic Chinese from all over mainland China — from Wuhan to Xinjiang. Prof. Li did an excellent job of translating my excitement and passion into Mandarin…Ha!
The topic was essentially about Central Thailand Mission — how we function as an NGO – aims, methods, fundraising, the modus operandi…but I was given the freedom to explore and discuss and take the topic as far or as deep as I wanted to!
I got to share some of the wonderful progress and projects we’ve been able to initiate through the collaboration with various individual and corporate sponsors — from the new kitchen at the Emergency Home to the industrial over, mixer and equipment at the House of Blessing such that they can now have a small bakery! Also some of the incredible major events we’ve hosted — for as many as 200 people, like the last ChristmasCharity Carnival we had. All through networking, and partnerships. Essentially, understanding that as many as there are needs, there are and always will be the resources — only remains to seekt hem out and connect the dots!! Thank you, Prof.Li Y-h Hugo for the privilege and opportunity to create an interest and awareness for your students of our projects and communities.
Hope to embark on a service project together!! NIDA Thailand
