Tapping into Bangkok’s abundance for rural dsplaced communities
Bangkok’s abundance — a collection by CTM of pre-loved clothes, sheets, blankets, household items…etc.. made its way by truck, and boat over long distances of road, rough terrain and rivers — to reach the remote rural communities that lie on the Thai-Myanmar border near Maeramat where many displaced Karens who have fled persecution and hardship in their homeland find refuge on the edge of these border towns. We would especially like to thank the Rotary Club Bangkapi, the Webster University (Childlom campus) students and the PYP families of KIS International school for their generous support and contributions. Special thanks also to Jack and Yohana for their contribution of the blankets and mosquito nets! Your kindness has literally gone a long way and made that difference.
