Christmas Charity Carnival 2014
Christmas is Love — it comes across in compassion, kindness, consideration for others, their needs. It comes in giving of ourselves, our resources to help others. This was beautifully seen in CTM’s Christmas Charity Carnival 2014 when so many individual and corporate partners came together to create a spectacular event for almost 80 children and caregivers from the Emergency Home, the Rangsit Babies’ Home and the Thanksgiving (in conjunction with Rachawadee Home for girls) Home.
It was an inspiring testimony to the power of loving collaboration! We had the generosity of companies like MODISH who have for the last three years provided us with a professional stage and an-always beautiful backdrop; Jeffrey and his team from Conceptual Events who came on this year with a superb total package of sound and lights; Bouygues-Thai who have been the backbone of all our electrical work; VS Service with the incredibly essential mobile toilet system which we couldn’t do without; Masterkool who provided the powerful outdoor cooling fan system and U-Rent with all the tables and chairs that we needed! BANGKOK KIDS’ PARTY was this year ‘s partner in bringing FUN to the party with their play equipment of the giant Trampoline, the bouncy castle, the Trikers, and the ever popular Dunk Tank! The Miracle Grand Hotel group, along with Oishi group, Chomthana, Gelathai, McThai Co. ,Malee Enteprise, Tong Garden and the Plaza Athenee (a Royal Meridien)provided us with enough snacks, food and drinks to feed more than 100 people!
While our corporate partners and individual sponsors provided us all that we needed for the party, it was our young crew of high school and young adult volunteers who were just amazing as they readily jumped in, loved up and cared for the kids! They were right there from the start to partner up and play the games with their little charges from waddling their ‘caterpillar’ team to victory or carrying the little ones in the newspaper dance.
They did whatever was needed, from getting dunked for fun, serving food to leading the way in participation when Zumba instructor, Adeline Miu took the stage, to get everyone groovin’! We had teens like Naomi , Carrey, JJ and friends who also took to the stage to entertain while the kids were busy opening their gifts – lovingly channeled through Santa, from the families of KIS International primary School, Anna and Jack as well as the Wroebel family. Special thanks also to Tamrerk and friends for the fabulous fireworks display at the close of the party – what a way to remember a very special night!
