Direct to their doorstep!
We recently brought a vanload of foods, fruits and vegetables from the wholesale market straight to the residents at the Pho Thing slum community. The women and kids came to our makeshift market spread to take what they wanted. There was more than enough for all!
Then we also organised another carload of produce and provisions, which were sent to the Thsnksgiving Home, the Sailom -Project LIFE foundation and the slum residents in their neighbourhood .

With the influx of more folks fleeing the unrest, more help and supplies are needed for these ones in the jungles and villages along the border.

HELP this refugee family over this LAST HURDLE!
THEY HAVE THEIR CLEARANCE FOR CANADA, TICKETS BOOKED FOR MAY 24th -- Now they just need to get over the last immigration bump -- the overstay fines!

I have known this RFG, his wife and two children for the 10+ years that they have been in Thailand, having fled Pakistan because of religious persecution and threats against their lives because of their Christian faith. They have lived here in perpetual insecurity & fear, with no rights or legal status as Thailand does not recognise nor have they ratified the United Nations Treaty on refugees.
Many asylum-seekers & refugees are regularly arrested & placed in insufferable, indefinite immigration detention. After being accepted by the UNHCR as a refugee, it takes years before one finally gets the clearance to relocate and begin new lives & opportunities in a third country. RFG & family have FINALLY received clearance and tickets to LEAVE Thailand on MAY 24th! A Miracle! Now before they can leave they need another miracle. They have to pay the Overstay fine of 20,000BAHT per person i.e 80,000 baht for 4 of them, before they are allowed to leave the country.
So far, they have thankfully raised 35,000Baht and will need another 45,000 baht to help them over the hump of the required detention fees. This is the bare minimum they need to get out of the country. They still have their remaining rent of 7700 baht to pay before they leave as the landlord is not willing to take that out of their deposit.
Any heartfelt contribution towards this family's final release to start living a full life again, their children able to receive education in their new home in CANADA will be much appreciated.

Our ever-so creative volunteers!!
A couple of week ago , Teresa Marie and Maxine gave tge kids a literal ball of fun with their papier mache project! Last week, Sasha and Frances Fountain along with Martin, our high school translator from KIS International School worked with the kids to create their fantasy masks!!
Never a shortage of ideas with our wo derful crew who so cheerfully help out every weekend at the Pho Thong slum community!

Helping others to help others……
Determined to help the learning centers as well as the embattled folks along the Thai-Myanmar border, we recently sent some supplies last Sunday to assist villagers who are trying to escape the civil strife and bombing.
We joined forces with others with the same intention to help the migrants caught in this conflict.
Thank you Alina Gabriela for your support ! Big kudos abd credit also to Jeff who made the trip there possible with a vanload of 2000 cans of sardines, clothes, toys, 50 kg of flour, stationery, shoes, cheese, chocolates, jars of jams, and pickled foods.. More than just Crafts!
Over the months of our regular activities at Pho Thong, it seems like the kids now come to our Happy Home center to also get their love cups filled up!
There’s no barrier in communication when it comes to compassion.
Several of them quickly responded to volunteers Teresa Marie, Frances Fountain and Sasha when they arrived, pulling out chairs for them, sitting on their laps, jumping up for hugs ……
Little Gai , since day 1, has pretty much adopted Frances as his Mama — always choosing to be with her. Well Frances took the role of mothering him on this visit when she took the body scrub and soap to give little Gai that much needed scrub.
Since their mother left 5 years ago, it has been a challenge for Gai and his brother Kan to be brought up by their single father who has to battle several health issues and not being able to get a job.
Teacher @tei helped the kids to create tgeir own photo frames from upcycled cardboard! Great job!! ... See more

Moms helping Moms!
While their kids are off to school, Aicha and Angela go all the way to Pho Thong in order to provide nursery care for the toddlers and young children in this slum community. This frees up the Moms as well as in some cases, a single father, and a couple of grannies, for just a few hours, giving them some space to do what they need to do!
Precious help and relief for these who tirelessly work in their challenging conditions.
We’re just do thankful for them volunteering & coming in on a weekday to do this! The kids are thrilled of course to have access to the toys and crafts available to them, as well as the extra TLC our awesome ladies lavish on them! ... See more
