Giant Gingerbread House Party 2016
We celebrated yet another year in our annual collaboration with Plaza Athenee Bangkok, a Royal Meridian Hotel when they hosted the Giant Gingerbread House party on December 3rd.. This is a fun(d)raising event for Central Thailand Mission’s operating expenses for the projects and services for the upcoming year. We were thrilled at the turnout of almost 150 people — including LOTSA kids who had a ball decorating their own Christmas gingerbread cookies — to eat, to pack home their works of art.
Besides all that, there were extra cookies they could decorate & plaster on the walls of the giant gingerbread house. During the craft time, time, traditional carols wafted through the air, in beautiful harmony by the duet of Stephen and Bethany. After which the team of Noel, Rhoda, Naomi and Jess came on with their repertoire of popular Christmas songs. Just as the kids finished up the gingerbread decor, the next highlight began — a Magic show by the kids of the Thanksgiving Home ( a home for the developmentally-challenged).
From the youngest four-year-old to the oldest 16 year old magicians, they did an amazing job mesmerising their audience with their tricks and illusions! CTM also had a charity table at the event and hosted a silent auction for a Giant Pooh Bear. Thank you everyone who so generously gave, bought your Christmas gifts from our table and supported this event! Also a very special word of appreciation to Khun Soammaphat & Khun Wallapa Traisorat for their generous contribution; and to Mons. Gilles, Khun Marisa, the F&B team and the whole crew who pulled together, working superbly well to create this memorable event! THANK YOU!
